Description
Following the success of the New Twenties Condenser Microphone, we present a new, very different and exclusive version of this microphone: the "New Twenties Ribbon".
An EXCLUSIVE EDITION, LIMITED TO 100 NUMBERED UNITS WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY, which has been designed by and for lovers of high-end ribbon microphones interested in investing in quality equipment that can be revalued over time.
The New Twenties Ribbon is a microphone born from our passion for sonic research, our commitment to electronic experimentation and the extreme attention to detail that we apply in all our industrial design phases. A huge creative and engineering effort that has reinforced our decision to launch this new microphone in such a limited and exclusive edition: after these 100 unique units, we will never make it again.
Its sound will remind you of a hybrid between Black Bamboo and the original New Twenties condenser, but with a unique personality and character thanks to its powerful custom-made neodymium magnets, its 99% pure aluminium ribbon only 1.2 microns shorter than the Bamboo family of mics, and its unique amplifier electronics made from a 1:110 ratio Lundahl® transformer and 4 FET transistors calibrated in pairs. The polar pattern of the New Twenties Ribbon is halfway between the 8-shape typical of ribbon microphones and a traditional cardioid pattern.
You'll discover a sound with a slight airiness in the higher frequencies, unusual for ribbon mics, while maintaining that creaminess and sweetness in the mid frequencies, but at the same time dense and deep in the low frequencies; with a tape texture at gains above 25dB that will bring grain and harmonic content to your recordings.
It won't be your mic for all situations, in fact, you'll know exactly when to use it to achieve a truly distinctive and unique sonority in your vocal and instrument recordings. What we are convinced of is that it will become a strategic working tool that will bring genuine value to your creative process.
Like all our products, the New Twenties Ribbon is designed and handmade in Madrid with selected electronic and mechanical components of the highest quality. Its manufacture and calibration is a really delicate process that involves many hours of effort and concentration, but also love and commitment to things well done.
A unique piece that from now on can be part of your sound heritage.
